According to the preliminary statistics data of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, the production of grain and leguminous crops amounted 66 MMT in 2016.
“This is a record harvest in the history of Ukraine and 5.9 MMT more than in 2015”, – is said in a statement of the press center of the ministry.
Additionally, record yield levels were set in 2016 in the history of Ukraine, specifically, wheat yield amounted 4.21 t/ ha, rye – 2.73 t/ ha, corn – 6.6 t/ha and peas – 3.13 t / ha.
Particularly, such volumes of agricultural crops were harvested:
- wheat – 26 MMT with an average yield of 4.21 t / ha;
- corn – almost 28 MMT with an average yield 6.6 t / ha;
- barley – 9.4 MMT with an average yield 3.3 t / ha;
- rye – 391.5 KMT with an average yield of 2.73 t / ha.
- oats – 499 KMT with an average yield of 2.39 t / ha.
- buckwheat – 176.4 KMT with an average yield of 1.15 t / ha.
- peas – 745.6 KMT with an average yield of 3.13 t / ha.
- rice – 64.8 KMT with an average yield of 5.4 t / ha.
Volumes of industrial crops harvested:
- sugar beet – 13.9 MMT with an average yield 48.24 t / ha;
- sunflower seeds – 13.6 MMT with an average yield of 2.24 t / ha;
- soy beans – 4.3 MMT with an average yield of 2.31 t / ha.
