As it is reported by the press-service of “Ukrtsukor” association, “Globinskiy sugar plant” became the leader among the exporters of Ukrainian sugar in 2016 shipping 81 KMT of sugar worth 39.7 mln USD on foreign markets.
According to the report, the second place is occupied by “Vinnitsa bakery plant #2”, which exported 74.3 KMT of sugar worth 37 mln USD. “Radekhiv sugar” company closes TOP-3 list with the figure of 39 KMT worth 18.6 mln USD.
It is noted that all of the 2016 Ukrainian producers exported record 442.7 KMT of sugar in the amount of 215.9 mln USD excluding 23.6 KMT of sugar produced from raw sugar cane and imported into Ukraine on tolling conditions, which is exported by “Ukrainian Sugar Company”.
“In 2016 a significant reorientation of Ukrainian sugar markets took place. Last year Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan were the main buyers (41.5 KMT and 16.4 KMT, respectively) but this year more sugar was shipped to Sri Lanka (78.5 KMT), Georgia (49 KMT) and Tunisia (32.7 KMT). In addition, we can see Guinea, Myanmar, RSA, Somalia, Lebanon, UAE, Djibouti, Benin, Singapore, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina among the exporting countries, which are completely new markets for Ukrainian sugar “- said the head of “Ukrtsukor” analytical department Ruslana Butylo.
