It has been reported by the press-service of Ukroliyaprom association.
In particular, sunflower harvest amounted to 13.6 MMT; soy – 4.28 MMT; rape – 1.1 MMT.
It is noted that the growth of yields provided record production of sunflower, which is 22% more than in the previous year.
“Despite the global financial and economic crisis, the depreciation of the hryvnia currency and limited credit resources, Ukraine has maintained a leading position in production and export of sunflower oil in the world market”, – noted by the Association spokesman.
It is also noted that increased production of refined sunflower oil (+5%) in 2016, which showed growth after a break, has a positive impact on the Ukrainian grain market.
However, officials in Ukroliyaprom are concerned about the decline in the production of soy and rapeseed oil (-36%) due to the massive export of rapeseeds and soybean seeds.
