“The tariff quota for the year 2017 for the export of domestic sugar to the EU (20 KMT) has been fully utilized”, – said in the statement.

According to the report, by the end of 2016 the main consumers of domestic beet sugar were Asia, Africa and the CIS. Also, Ukrainian companies have been able to open new markets such as Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Benin, Macedonia, Djibouti, China and South Africa.

It worth to mention that in the current season Ukrainian enterprises exported 344.5 KMT of sugar, which is 33 times more than in the same period of the previous year (from September to December 2015 exports amounted to 10.4 KMT).
