As of 9th of March Ukrainian farmers were provided with mineral fertilizers by 83%

As of March 9, 2017, Ukrainian farmers purchased 800 KMT of mineral fertilizers, which is 83% of the required volume for carrying out spring-summer field work this year.

This has been reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

According to the report, as of the reporting date, farmers purchased 18.1 KMT of pesticides, representing 63% of the demand, including 12.3 KMT of herbicides (65%).

In addition, 298 KMT of diesel fuel and 70 KMT of gasoline were purchased, which is 74% of the technological need for the period of spring field work.

It is also noted that the technical inventory park of the agro-industrial complex currently has 309 thousand tractors and more than 50 thousand units of combine-harvesters. At the same time, during the first month of 2017, Ukrainian agrarians purchased 341 units of equipment worth about 320.5 million UAH.
