During the first five months of the 2016/17 season, Ukrainian enterprises processed 5.84 MMT of sunflower seeds. The leader in this field remains Kernel, which accounts for more than 21% of the total oilseed processing volume.
TOP-3 list is also complemented by VIOIL and OPTIMUS AGRO, whose shares are 7.01% and 6.60% respectively.
It should be noted that excluding the leading position, other processors are characterized by relatively small gaps in the volumes of sunflower processing and, correspondingly, their shares in the aggregate index. This observation shows that the market is characterized by moderate concentration in relation to the main participants.
