In January-April 2017, Ukraine exported 14.428 MMT of grain crops to $2.25 billion dollars
It has been reported by ProAgro, referring to Ports of Ukraine.
According to them, the share of the commodity group in total exports in monetary terms amounted to 16.4%. Among the positions of the commodity group, the largest cash inflows were traditionally provided by the export of corn, wheat and barley.
In particular, over the reporting period, corn was exported in amount 9.2 MMT to $1.425 billion. The largest export deliveries were made to Egypt – $272.54 million (19.1% of the total export of the commodity position), Spain – $166.356 million (11.7%) and the Netherlands – $157.142 million (11%). In other countries, corn was exported in amount of $828.227 million (58.1%). The share of the commodity position in total exports in monetary terms was 10.4%.
In January-April, 2017, 4.3 MMT of wheat was exported for $691 million. The largest export deliveries of wheat were made to Egypt – $181.874 million (26.3% of the total exports of the commodity position), India – $179.012 million (25, 9%) and Morocco – $55.32 million (8%). In other countries wheat was exported to $275 million (39.8%). The share of the commodity position in total exports in monetary terms was 5%.
At the same time, Ukraine exported 830 KMT of barley to $122 million. The largest export deliveries were made to Saudi Arabia – $53.468 million (43.8% of the total exports of the commodity position), Libya – by $25 million (20.4% %) and Turkey – $13.085 million (10.7%). To other foreign countries barley export amounted $30.624 million (25.1%). The share of the commodity position in total exports in monetary terms was 0.9%.
Ukraine in 2016 exported 40.249 MMT of grain crops in the amount of $6.075 billion.
